Irish Times stop publishing articles from random Irish people whose sole authority on an issue is that they have recently moved to the relevant country challenge... Id be surprised if any parent in Ireland would complain about the state providing extensive free childcare and early years education...

Oh, this is a useful set of statistics. You can use it to assess just what sort of numbers of JOBS the Government means when it says we need the data centres in Ireland for the JOBS. You’d create more employment running a small chain of centras.

Appalling abandonment by Bus Éireann in Cork. Bus broke down at Blackpool, waited an hour for next bus, it came & was full. No provision made for extra bus, no mechanic, no communication. Eventually, people just walked back into city (some old and vulnerable). PT needs serious investment & change.

Toxic populists are going to sour all public spending: No, secure bike parking for hospital staff is not the same as Dáil bike shelter
Comment & Analysis: There's never money for people on the front line, says Sinn Féin spokesperson on finance Pearse Doherty when he's complaining about a secure bicycle shed in Dublin and Kerry for... checks notes... hospital staff. He has repeatedly said it is "pure waste", but even if a project has an overspend, how are the bicycle parking sheds pure waste if they are used by staff?
