On a lark, during my AI college course, I posed a question to a local LLM with "think" revealed. The results made it clear that it merely uses the *linguistic* structure of thinking, with zero consciousness. It constantly talked itself out of the correct answer by hallucinating reasons it was wrong.

Me: A man wrote three words on a glass board, but it suddenly fell and shattered into numerous pieces.
Here are some of the pieces with letters on them:

KAUCCPE
OLEV
