The IES Practice Guides and resources inform every single literacy course & training for pre-service & in-service teachers. Any literacy intervention that has evidence behind it has evidence because the studies were funded by IES, OSEP, or by NIH. Every $ spent on IES research saves tax payer $.

The Regional Education Laboratories were cancelled. My friends employed the RELs are now jobless. The Dept of Ed & IES were created to provide free evidence-based resources to schools. Now the publishing companies are the only option, ineffective & expensive. Call you congresspeople.

Nearly 4 of 5 teachers reported intentions to the leave the field after the pandemic. Over 70% reported feeling used up at the end of the workday one or more times per week; one-third reported experiencing this every day. Teachers need our support! DM for full text.

My uni now charges licensing fees to use their logo on any dept swag, in their words, to promote the university image. I mean we wear swag to represent the university and our dept. And we are required to have the university logo on anything we create! Obviously, we won’t be doing that in the future
