A wee masked bee, I think Hylaeus sp., maybe 5 mm. long. Every time I leaned in with my camera, the bee would run a lap around the flower then come back to face me. Single shot, handheld, with the new Laowa 45 mm. 1-5X at 3X with a crop to about 3.5X. (Montana) #BugSky 🌿🐙📷

Migration is starting here and we’re hearing quite a few different voices. This Blue Jay was flying to a different tree and decided we needed to hear the melodic song of its people! #Birds 🪶

A Blue Jay flys right to left and calls at the same time. Its wing feathers are spread and in a downward stroke, and its wings, back and head are covered in so many shades of blue!
It’s flying in the light but the background is deep shade!
