#MacroMonday #FlowerReport: In San Jose, California, this morning. The center of the flower is about a half inch wide, which means the bug on the florets on the left is very, very small.

On some other petals and near the center of the florets are two tiny insects about a fifth the size of the plant bug, which is less than a quarter inch long. So, reeeally tiny.

#InsectThursday #Butterfly: Wing exercises in San Jose, California this late afternoon.

Astrophotographer Adam (AJ) Smadi caught this image a few hours ago from Washington state. A thin crescent Moon, sunlight illuminating the rugged lunar surface. And 2,400 times farther away—and on the other side of the Sun—mighty Jupiter, and its moons Io (left) and Ganymede (right).
