I have serious concerns about how the Democrats and most media are normalizing these US midterms, prioritizing issues like affordability. The elephant in the room is the emergence of an authoritarian and corrupt RW President and oligarchy working to fundamentally destroy the American democracy.

People in the United States thinking that they can vote Trump out a second time should take heed of US oligarchy and many foreign governments that are acting like Trump's regime will rule USA permanently, Democracy can't end tyranny by votes alone, often the tyrant needs to be dragged from power.

"The hidden harms of medical gaslighting" Fibromyalgia, Long COVID, endometriosis, chronic fatigue syndrome and autoimmune disorders put patients at higher risk of “medical gaslighting,” where genuine clinical concerns are dismissed or invalidated without proper medical evaluation.
A screenshot of an online article from the American Psychological Association website. The large bold headline reads, "The hidden harms of medical gaslighting," with the subheading, "Researchers are leading efforts to better support patients with difficult-to-diagnose conditions." The piece is by Heather Stringer, dated October 1, 2026, and is tagged with three blue oval buttons: "Health Care," "Health Equity," and "Chronic Illness." Below the text, a photograph shows a Black woman with braids looking highly distressed and overwhelmed while talking on a smartphone. She has her eyes closed tightly and her left hand pressed against her forehead in frustration.

It all creates ethical and trust issues. Beyond the potential privacy breaches around contact collection, an app like this can blur the distinction between heartfelt support and what is sometimes called “AI-slop”: shoddy or thin material passed off as natural or human made.

The Victory app taps into our worst social media impulses to comment on everything, supercharging it, turning supporters into human-machines posting similar messages. A virtual army, as it were. An older term for flooding the zone with provocative, sometimes propagandic, material was “agitprop.” This new version could be called “agitslop.”
