Okay, so there's a gun on the cover, and I'm not even thinking about what the other object could be. It's not like I live in East Central London or Guernsey.*

One more annoying thing about this damn cold is that I'd started going to a dance class again, for the first time since around 2012/3, and I had been really enjoying it, but obviously had to cancel today's. I've been utterly wiped out after the classes, but feeling it was worth it.

Something for Monday morning: a friend WINOBS sent me this video of a stunning dance to the song Pop Muzik. I love how the costume's simplicity, with just a few sharp details, emphasises the sharp choreography and performance. CN: flickering lights on the video. www.youtube.com/watch?app=de...

I'm not saying it's a long time since either of us have had a (stinking) cold, but the bottle of Olbas oil I retrieved from the bathroom cabinet has a best before date of August 2022. I've done three Covid tests and they've all been negative so seems unlikely to be Covid, thankfully.

I Dont Want To I Dont Wanna
Alt: A small, white toddler, with messy hair and a striped top, slumps forward onto the edge of a bed covered with a shiny, fleecy, lilac bedspread, with eyes mostly squinched closed, and makes a crying face which she covers with her left arm.

Just so we’re clear, the “legitimate concerns” people who are “just asking questions” now consider the following to be enemy organisations: Amnesty International. The RNLI. Doctors Without Borders. Just in case you’re wondering which side you should be on.

How would you describe your social media reach?
A selection of Jane Duncan's My Friend books, now little known. They are all hardbacks, arranged spine on, showing how the colourful drawn illustrations on the original dustjackets wrapped around the spines. The Friends in question are Muriel, Rose, Cousin Emmie, Misses Kindness, the Swallow, Sandy, the Macleans, Annie, My Father, Martha's Aunt, George and Tom, Sashie, the Mrs Millers, the Hungry Generation and from Cairnton. They are not arranged in either publication or chronological order. There's a handful of people that might recognise these and have read them.

ION, I am trying to replace the waterproof "comfort fit" trainers of which I have worn the tread flat through a fair amount of walking, and where the top fabric has split at the side of the little toes. I ordered a new pair, same "comfort fit", but with longer lacing, making the toe fit adjustable.

A lovingly carved dog with long droopy ears on one of the cathedral’s stalls. The deep brown of the wood is perfect for the sweet little pooch.

I recently rewatched the film 9 to 5, having not seen it in years. I loved it that the first thing the women did in taking over was to award equal pay. The second thing was to set up a workplace nursery. RIP Dolly Parton. Took seriously the things that needed it, not herself. Bloody good tunes too.

Name your fave Disney princess. (Wrong answers only.)
Janet Maw as the adolescent Clara in the last three episodes of the 1982 BBC TV series, Frost in May. She is leaning on the top of five-barred gate, with long wavy, blonde hair down around her shoulders, held partly back with a clip on one side. She is resting her chin on folded arms and her pale face is pensive, evoking a slight air of discontent.

❤️ 1) I assumed her tank top was also knitted in one of the London Underground moquette patterns, very like the one described in Q3, to which the answer was D78, and the comments suggest that that is so. 2) Has anyone done Lothian Bus moquettes?

Morticia & Gomez Addams Family Moment
Alt: Head and shoulders, side-on shot of Raul Garcia and Anjelica Huston as Morticia and Gomez Addams. She spins so her long black hair fans out and twirls with her and then ends the spin with her hands, with their long red nails, on either side of his face. Both are looking stern. It's part of their iconic tango scene in the nightclub in Addams Family Values.
