A Greater Yellowlegs lands in a very shallow marsh. The water is very calm so there is a reflection, and the yellowlegs looks like it’s running with its one leg up and its wings out for balance. The water is green and yellow as it reflects the colour of the early Fall reeds on the shore.

Auch in diesem Wiesengebiet sind die Wiesenvögel verschwunden, nachdem man zig1000 € für sogenannte extensive Mahd verpulvert hat. Wenn man immer wieder das Gleiche tut und es nix bringt, sollte man sich die Frage stellen, ob die Vögel nicht TROTZ der Mahd verschwinden, sondern WEGEN der Mahd.

Not a great photo but this is a European Honey Buzzard (Pernis apivorus). They can be quite vocal during migration. This one was just screeching as it was flying over.
