For #BirdOfTheDay #Mouthful, a Double-crested Cormorant with an enormous meal. This cormorant was impressive: the fish got swallowed in less than 30 seconds, and the cormorant immediately dove back down to catch another.

For #BirdOfTheDay #BestOfTheMonth, I finally got some photos of the Pin-tailed Whydah doing his courtship "dance" in the air! These guys kind of bop around mid-air, letting their long tail feathers shake and float around in an effort to impress a lady. I was thrilled!

Dolly was the first non-kids music I loved. I got 2 cassettes of her greatest hits and played them nonstop on my Walkman on a cross country road trip with my family. Thanks to Dolly, I was the wisest 7 year old in the ways of the heart. She was one of one. RIP Dolly

It's been a year since I lost my mom. This has been the toughest year of my life, but it has helped to see the wonderful photos everyone has posted here. My mom would sing "Rockin Robin" or "When the Red Red Robin" whenever she saw a robin in the yard, so here is a "robin red breast" for my mom.
