We spent the day at the Washington Park Arboretum, one of the biggest and tallest attractions is this giant sequoia. They were brought to the area in the 1850’s and are not native to Washington State but grow in a narrow band in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California #nature #seattle #PNW

I just watched a tiny little ruby throated hummingbird chase a tufted titmouse around a pine tree next to our deck. It was comical to watch this tiny bird chase this significantly larger bird around. Tis that time of the year when the hummingbirds become pretty aggressive and territorial!! #birds
