Be careful about whattaboutism. It’s true that patriarchy is a big problem, but anywhere we start is a good place to start. Resist the temptation to turn attention somewhere else when you see people doing good work. It’s a big reason we lose momentum for ending sexual violence.

Canada has a total ban on company/corporate donations. Only individuals who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents can make contributions and it's capped at $1,750 a year. They still have functioning parties and the sky hasn't fallen in. Quite the opposite... www.elections.ca/content.aspx...

Today’s vote should have never been needed. MPs passed the bill last year by a clear majority, before a handful of unelected Peers stalled it to a halt in the House of Lords - not through honest debate but through procedural game-playing. The public deserves better.

There were many ways in which the US and its allies could have responded to the horror of 9/11. But by building extreme security states, launching pointless forever wars and restricting domestic dissent, successive governments inflicted more harm on their nations than the terrorists could have done.

Israel supporters are only attacking the UK’s motives, because they can’t dismiss the substance of the UK’s concerns. In fact, as I argue here, UK policy towards Israel has been biassed for years…in favour of Israel. This is a long overdue course correction, and completely justified by the facts.
