Turned the roasted squash with added confit garlic and veg stock from a cube into soup, finished with a swirl of Greek yoghurt and a squeeze of lemon. It's delicious, if I may say so myself.

I need a motion activated camera/security system with Home Alone style security features/traps that punch/kick anyone who tries to push a R*st*re Br*tain leaflet through my letterbox in the bollocks. It's really smooth and shiny paper, too, so I can't even use it to wipe my arse with it.

It's not big enough for a full roast but a couple of thighs/drumsticks will fit fine (not big on breast meat, anyway). My existing hob is a full size (four spots) one and it still works fine so replacing that isn't a priority. I also have two pans I use regularly that won't work with induction.

And just to prove my brain isn't what it used to be, I should have used the oil from the confit garlic. *sigh* I'm going to add some of the garlic into the soup, anyway.

I have some experimental plans, too. Watch this space. :)

My main reason for getting one is that my oven doesn't work anymore and getting a new one would be too expensive. I mainly cook on the hob, anyway. Mine would be too small for a whole chicken (it's only 2l) but there will be drumsticks/thighs in the future as will chips/wedges.

The squash smells amazing. It was coated in olive oil, and seasoned with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, cumin and a little bit of cayenne.
