At a chalk talk, a guy berated me the whole time and told me my work isn't interesting and he's surprised I had a K99. I got the offer the next day🤔 At another school, after a verbal offer I mentioned my spouse. Was ghosted for 3 months then told they "didn't move forward for political reasons"🙄

Holy crap my R01 was just renewed. Literally staring at the NoA in disbelief. I was told back in April it would not be funded and I was mentally preparing to wind the lab down. Now here we are with the chance to rebuild (again, if you've been with me for a while).
