If you ever find yourself doubting that most people are grossly uninformed voters, I invite you to peruse the comments on some of the most popular posts on your local Nextdoor.

People aren’t faking their disabilities, they’re faking being well. We know society hates us. We know we will be judged for using assistive devices. Many of us take years to get the courage to lean in to accommodations. Stop judging. Help us build a more inclusive world.

One counterpoint to this otherwise fully co-signed statement: this lawyer does NOT love trials.

This is either a bot, or someone with a fake account dedicated to trolling. It's impossible to be this arrogant and this wrong at the same time unless it's artificial or parody.

If you're going to post a screenshot of Commonwealth v. Rezac (422 Mass. 731), you should really read the entire opinion first where the MA Supreme Judicial Court explains that "morality" and "legality" equate to roughly the same thing and say that even the court uses the terms interchangeably.

"That feeling of a shared bond" included but was not limited to blatant bigotry toward Muslims and Sikhs and them being constantly harassed by authorities because people reported them for terrible things like walking outside their homes.

What kind of absolutely shitty human weaponizes the untimely death of a sibling? And then attacks people in the comments for pointing it out? I almost pity him. Someone who is this depraved and entirely lacking in empathy has some SERIOUS problems and an entire lack of a moral compass.

As I have said, repeatedly, the bar exam is nothing more than a hazing ritual that has nothing to do with one's ability to be a good lawyer.

Hello, #Canes fans! Anyone out there a STM who isn't planning to go to the Yard Sale and wouldn't mind letting me (and maybe friends, depending on how many tickets you have) use your STM for early access? I'd be super grateful!!

Law professors, I am begging you to stop contributing to the stigma that keeps so many students (and legal professionals) silently struggling. Using words like "luxury" and "unfair" to describe accommodations that students need just to have the chance to compete is deeply unacceptable.

Julie Faenza @juliemfaenza.bsky.social · 27/07/2026
Putting aside the ableist nonsense about how accommodations are treated here - if someone doesn't know the material and cannot draw correct legal conclusions, no reasonable amount of time would allow someone to pass an open-book exam.

"Verify your age" Dials a phone number from a phone booth to determine if the call will cost 5 cents or a higher amount, and hope I have the right amount of change so I don't waste quarters on a cheaper call. Because I'd need the change for the bus fare later, and it only accepted coins.

John Oliver slap meme

Pre-slap dialogue: "Let me put this in language that you absolutely will not understand and will probably lead you to attack me because you can't accept your own mistakes. Graham Platner was never a good candidate and you were a rube for going along with the grift."

It's either unspeakably bad evidence or spoilation (e.g., they deleted/trashed all related evidence). Gov't criminal lawyers don't concede on issues unless they know they'll lose (sometimes not even then). But the gov't NEVER concedes attorney fees. I'd bet my paycheck this hasn't happened before.

You mean, besides the giant Nazi tattoo he had on his body for 20 years? The one that he knew what it was, and told people what it was? And only got it covered up - and lied about it - when it was about to be exposed for what it was?

Julie Faenza @juliemfaenza.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
Now we have stealthing. (For those who can't get to the article - Lynsey Fifield, from previous allegations, said Platner stealthed her multiple times during their relationship. WaPo, unlike the NYT, actually called one of Fifield's friends who verified the story on the record, with her name.)

Reskeeting because the Nazi apologist turned and ran. Huh. I did not know that a big swath of American men have Nazi tattoos and are rapists who consistently lie about everything.

It is not undemocratic, not even a little bit, for a candidate to voluntarily drop out of a race and be replaced by their party using the legal procedure that exists for that purpose. Don't concede the premise as if you have to dress it up somehow and apologize for a party being a party.

The political theory that Nazi tattoos, calling people “r******d,” demeaning women, etc. are “working class values,” and that people who object to it should “lighten up” because working class voters who like that are the key to elections, isn’t looking great. And it was always very condescending.

It's never bad faith to google me. I list my own legal name in my profile! What's bad faith is a guy who seems to have a problem with women googling and then trying to threaten by invoking my employer. And he's apparently arrogant enough that he thinks anyone will believe what he says.

Reminder: if you are angry and lashing out, it does not matter why you're angry, or whether you are justifiably angry. You are still responsible for your choices and words. The targets of your anger do not have to tolerate unacceptable behavior from you as a test of allyship, either.

Why, yes! I do actually go to therapy because I value my mental health and the other aspects of my life that it affects. Especially in a field that has one of the highest rates of divorce, substance misuse, and suicide. You should try therapy too! Maybe you wouldn't be so angry.

This birthright ruling is why I just refuse to tolerate all the Democrat garment rending over NY voters choosing progressive candidates. They are incapable of governing in this moment. The politics of appeasement and centrism gets us to a 5-4 decision on the constitutional question.

People pretend to be mad at *the techniques* of DEI. But they are not mad at the techniques. Because when done correctly, DEI techniques are completely legal, fair, and common sense. They don't advantage any one group over another. They simply remove unfairness. It's *the outcome* that racists hate

State bars don't tell people where they ranked. They tell you whether you passed or failed. You can only access your test results if you failed. But also, as the joke goes, what do you call the person who graduated last in class at law school or had the lowest passing bar score? An attorney.
