In the 1st game of the #ChainofCommand Jitra campaign, my ‘green’ Indian Army platoon defended the bridge, the Japanese waisted no time moving their Jump Off point up and deploying on to the bridge, they were met by a barrage of fire by dug in sections to make it a costly assault #spreadthelard.

Oathmark: What am I doing today? I’m cutting pieces of plastic sprue and filing it down and adding a wood-like texture to it so I can make a catapult for my Orcs. Still a ways to go, but I’m enjoying this! 😃👍

Todays game was the delaying action at Arthenay, table 2 from the 29 Lets Go pint sized campaign. The US simply ran out of force morale in the last game, so this is campaign turn 3 on table 2 and Colonel Goode is a worried man.

A scenic view of a little peninsular village before the carnage begins. There is a troop of cavalry in the square next to the fountain which is surrounded by seven peninsular style buildings with pantile roofs. The surrounding countryside is green and verdant with poplar trees dotted about. There is a semaphore tower in the background but typically, I’ve cut the semaphore off in the photo.

Don’t let your hobby become a burden! It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed by the need to crank out armies of dozens, even hundreds of figures, or make lots of scenery, or try out umpteen rulesets and scenarios! But it’s YOUR hobby, so do as much as YOU want rather than what you think you OUGHT to do.

I tried two night goblins from white primer and 99% contrast paints; one in Black Templar with some shading, the other in a heavy coat of Basilicanum grey which quite obviously becomes a little brighter. I might use both. No further washes used on these, but overall quite happy with the concept.
