A group of 28mm Perry Miniatures Ikko Ikki painted fairly uniformly. The armour is either dark shades of brown or grey (almost black for both) with lighter cloth undergarments (predominantly white). The lacing has been picked out in light tones to help make the figures pop a bit. Based on U.K. pennies.

Some of the facades put together with a house in the left and on the right with a passage entrance in the middle. All painted in warm creams and browns for the panels and woodwork. The roofs are terracotta with plenty of tonal variations (which of course aren’t apparent in this photo 🙄😂)

Corporal Hosiah Jenkins has heard a noise, but what can it be!?!

A single townhouse facade with a gable end roof. Terracotta tiles and warm brown woodwork aren’t enough to stop Corporal Hosiah Jenkins patrolling around trying to discover what the sound was he heard.

Townhouse facade with a sloping roof and a gable on either end. Same colour scheme as the other. The corporal has got his pointy stick out now.

One of the passage facades painted, you’ve guessed it, in the same way as the others. The corporal is getting annoyed as the source of the noise seems to have disappeared.

Two 15mm scale post-town buildings with a couple of bases of 15mm samurai in front of them (Honda clan, looking for trouble). Painted in warm browns for the woodwork, warm tan for the wall panels and a grey/green for the roof tiles.

A very scenic shot of the finish tutorial item. There’s a torii gate in the middle flanked by large stone lanterns with a couple of small offerings next to them. Beyond the torri a large offering can be seen on the right and a partial view of a hand wash station (with the pointy roof) on the left. Graves can be seen further in and the whole lot is surrounded by a slight raised earthwork with a few trees planted in it.

A full frontal (oo-er) shot of the market cross showing the whole set. A stone base with wooden columns, panelled and enclosed staircase with a panelled upper floor and tiled roof. The stone is painted stone colour (😬), the wood, wood colour (can you see where this is going), the panels are a light tan and the roof various shades of terracotta (around seven I think).

A shot showing all the parts for the whole set and a rather bemused royalist amongst it all.

The ‘low’ version which just consists of the base, eight columns and the roof.

#HillfortsWednesday Brent Tor - Iron Age earthworks & remnants of a Hill fort. Unusually, the fortifications are at the base of the Tor.The northern ramparts in particular are well preserved, displaying a multi-vallate pattern characteristic of the Iron-A, or early -B, culture.
