Three-panel comic, a remix of the comic in the original post:

1: An old man laying on a hospital bed, a woman sleeps on a cough next to him while he gazes at the sunset out the window. He thinks: "Dang, that was stressful... wouldn't mind a chill one next time."

2: A red deity-of-sorts spins a cosmic wheel-of-sorts saying "REINCARNATE-O!"

3: We see the same woman from panel 1, implying that the man reincarnated as her

Ancient ways within the isle at Escomb, County Durham. Built from sandstone and dating to the seventh century, this Anglo-Saxon church is one of the most complete of such structures still standing in England. Built within a circular walled enclosure, the whole place has a feel of great antiquity.
A simple sandstone church standing in a churchyard containing gravestones and trees. The church is disproportionately tall, typical of Anglo-Saxon stone church architecture.

older games often have a display centric approach to real-time rendering, like, painting lighting into object textures was very common, or straight up using photographs as textures this lets you take very direct control over the look! modern rendering is different (short thread)

The 14th century octagon and lantern, Ely Cathedral, Cambridgeshire. In 1322, the Norman central crossing tower of the cathedral collapsed. After this, the crossing was enlarged to an octagon. The roof and lantern above the octagon are supported by a complex timber structure above the vaulting.

It’s the 232nd anniversary today of Robespierre setting fire to a papier-mâché statue of atheism in the Tuileries gardens in Paris to inaugurate his Cult of the Supreme Being, the new state religion. No one liked the idea and Robespierre was dead by the end of July 🧵

It's just obvious that there is no good reason, at all, for the government to legislate what toilets you can go into. This is a thing that civil society was quite capable of working out. We're here because the GCs found civil society didn't share their rabid obsessive hatred so they played the refs.
