Watching partner apply for JRF’s: every single one requires ~ 10000 words over all and each one has different requirements. The amount of unpaid labour in UK academia is astonishing and it bewilders me that senior academics just keep reifying it. Sorry, but I call pyramid scheme.

It is a globally recognised centre of teaching and research, one of the city’s

We recognise that universities across the country are facing significant financial
challenges and that difficult decisions are being made throughout the higher
education sector. Ensuring the long-term sustainability of our universities is
important not only for students and staff, but also for the communities and

significant reductions in staffing and academic capacity could have on
Nottingham.

We worked with two phenomenal Latinists on the Lusitano transcriptions. I know 1st hand that seeing what signs are there gets you nowhere near reconstructing and understanding a text. Palaeographers rock 🤘🏽

I really hope people advocating to ban kids from SM read this. Some kids are isolated by disabilities or circumstances. Furthermore, some kids grow up in abusive households. “Ideally, a child’s exposure to online worlds should be moderated by their parents” isn’t a reassuring sentiment for everyone

From seeing a name on a placard to transcribing and co-editing the complete works! Proud and grateful to have played a part in bringing the works of the first composer racialised as Black to publish music in Europe to a modern scholarly edition.
