I did start Fate/Extra on Vita but playing four routes at once (Archer Rin/Rani & Caster Rin/Rani) got very repetitive to a point that I wanted speedup through PPSSPP. Thankfully, had only been playing 1.20.4 but rip any future updates

An addendum to anyone needing to use PPSSPP but wants to avoid AI commits, it seems like the current stable build 1.20.4 from May 16 *should* be safe. Public commits with Claude as an author started July 24 this year.

Dude, this is genuinely so fucking disappointing. Nearly all of the commits I’ve seen for PPSSPP involve generative AI from Claude in the past week alone, and their entire newest dev blog is almost entirely written by Claude. Almost half of the commits in the past 3 months use Claude for AI code.

Okay a tiny thread because people are going to freak out: This exploit in particular takes advantage of a special command that renders images (via attribute escape). If you have an overlay that processes images (most don't) then yes, this is your problem. Overlay must explicitly create img DOM.

A picture of the exploit, using a command that explicitly includes an image file extension, but also would escape out of the src attribute of an image such than an onerror attribute can be added to the img tag. This onerror attribute can run explicit javascript immediately.

Default behavior for most chat widgets is if you have an image it will not attempt to modify image links into actual HTML image tags. Your overlay/overlay service must explicitly be doing this for you.

So 1) You're probably safe, but if you use a chat overlay you should probably check and 2) This is a sign that we should be a lot more careful with 3rd party browser sources, particularly ones that take viewer input. Without sandboxing OBS is fundamentally more at risk than a normal browser.
