It only sounds like a distinction because "English" just happens to have the more nebulous word "British" nearby, but both are very obviously racially neutral terms??

I don't see how being that insanely invested in what are meant to be fun activities is in any way helpful to anyone. With a sociology hat on, I'd say we're seeing a broad rise in a lack of empathy in places mixed with a raging sense of entitlement among some - and it's a continuation of that.

Saw some comments on a social post about this with adults justifying shouting abuse because as the refs progress they will face worse with bigger crowds. And my understanding from refs themselves is they will not. It is the parents at youth matches who are comfortably the worst. #notallparents
