Worth noting, btw, I dont believe the commission can expel Man City from the Premier League. The commission can issue essentially unlimited sporting penalties, but I think it can only *recommend* expulsion, which would then need to be voted on by clubs

A club guilty of a decade-long scheme to submit false financial information to the league, for the purpose of securing an unfair on-field advantage, should not only be thrown out of the league and have all its titles vacated, its owner should be compelled to sell the club.

Forgive me, I don’t see this Crewe thing as a whimsical, light-hearted marketing deal. It’s a very uncomfortable incursion into protected heritage assets. Fans have fought for a long time for club names and crests to be protected, as they now are. Very slippery slope.

Has anyone asked why each FA needs to get the same amount? Why is FIFA’s cash delivery system the same no matter the need of the FA? What for instance does for example the Guam FA do with $40m? This is clearly not a system fit for any genuine purpose. It simply allows the incumbent to lavish gifts.

Honestly I think there's no chance UEFA breaks away from FIFA. The financial and legal ramifications are mind-boggling, it would be in court for 20 years. Suspect there's more chance a number of nations boycott the World Cup. It might only take one nation declaring to start a snowball.
