When blocking laws that make it easier for people to vote, the Supreme Court has repeatedly emphasized that courts can't interfere with voting rules close to elections. Weirdly, now that Trump is trying to take over mail-in voting 10 weeks before the midterms, the Court has forgotten all about it.

something i wrote earlier this month but this sort of applies to just being trans in general it feels: www.chron.com/culture/arti...
You live long enough as a trans person, and you begin to learn when people are talking about you without talking about you. Family members discuss your "situation" in hushed tones. People try to figure out what your whole deal is while you're standing right in front of them. You become no longer a person, but a "controversial topic" to be litigated. This is how Texas A&M talks about real people and real students. I'm now faced with the dilemma of holding a degree from an institution of learning that may discipline professors for teaching that people like me exist.

I get sports don't poll well, but false arguments used to ban us from sports cannot be isolated. If we're not women for sports, then we're not women. Full stop. Black athletes in sports wasn't a popular issue in the civil rights fight either but they didn't sacrifice it for the larger struggle

I understand your position, but if you concede on sports you undermine any ability to argue that trans women are women in other aspects of life. If we are too big/strong/dangerous to play women's sports for example, then why should we be able to use women's restrooms or other private spaces?
