Yep. Decarbonization has to go through, over or around utilities. It's as if everyone has forgotten that they are given monopolies in exchange for providing essential services to society. And that regulators/lawmakers/governors' job is to hold them accountable to the public interest.

I once got to hear Joe rail with great verve and wit against the folly of hydrogen as a transportation fuel (a favorite target of his) to a bus full of journalists at the Philly SEJ conference. RIP to a legend: fiercely smart, with the courage of his own convictions. He fought the good fight.

Not sure people understand how bad El Niño already is. In Southern California today, we had an offshore pacific hurricane (not normal) take out homes and beaches. We had temperatures topping 111°F with high humidity. There's a fire in LA. And we are just getting started with El Niño.
