Yep. Decarbonization has to go through, over or around utilities. It's as if everyone has forgotten that they are given monopolies in exchange for providing essential services to society. And that regulators/lawmakers/governors' job is to hold them accountable to the public interest.

Not sure people understand how bad El Niño already is. In Southern California today, we had an offshore pacific hurricane (not normal) take out homes and beaches. We had temperatures topping 111°F with high humidity. There's a fire in LA. And we are just getting started with El Niño.

Survivors said it was more like a "bomb" than a flood. As with most climate impacts, the burdens of the Himalayas' meltdown are falling hardest on the poorest - those who did the least to contribute to this crisis. The fuse on this glacial collapse bomb was lit far away, in this part of the world.
