there’s still a steady drip of provocation, but the package is more focused, the lyrics more developed. clearly they were onto something: this specific song was huge, but the whole album is good. put this on and skulk around your neighborhood in the dark to get the full effect.

I read it. I actually wrote a long detailed review of it but then stuff got overly busy and I haven’t finished editing it. I liked it. It’s a sprawling crime noir with a lot of subtle storytelling driving a somewhat overblown plot. I liked it a lot.

If you look at CNBC's own accounts here and on X, they get roughly the same amount of engagement, despite the fact that they have 5.7 million followers on X, and 53k here. They have 100x more followers there, and the same engagement as here. And Bluesky is the site that's failing, somehow.

I write reviews sometimes (non-professionally) and the one thing I try to avoid is a step-by-step rehash of the plot. TCJ does this often and I end up skimming most for this reason. The plot is the least interesting thing in narrative art for me. Tell me how it *feels* to read a book.
