Hey folks, I had a big thread about AI and art that really popped off, and now I have some attention, so why don't I make a little thread of upcoming indie games I'm looking forward to that have neat artstyles? And a lot of these games will have demos to check out, so maybe give them a try?

I really hate all the slop AI and machine translated (MTL) fan translations that are flooding the scene. Years ago, I was ignorant to fan translation sources, but having played many Japanese games for videos at this point, AI or MTL will never understand the nuance of a work of art. Fuck gen AI

It was too easy to crash into other’s ships while walking around landing pads. Changed them to be enter on interact instead of collision, and they've got more sensible z-indexing and collision boxes now. #pixelart #indiegame

This year has been a real pain for moderation. We explicitly said no genAI, yet we still have people thinking that doesn't apply to them or that we won't notice. The most egregious ones are the ones that generate the text which explains how their game adheres to the jam's themes.

#indiegames There aren't a lot of channels out there that cover obscure indie games so do go and encourage them. Each game gets a short but pretty meaningful review so yo ucan probably identify some cool games from it.

This is a real problem. I'll definitely switch to Linux with my next PC, drop Native instruments and will never again buy Kontakt libraries. I never experienced anything so user unfriendly as products requiring Kontakt and native access. #musicproduction

Experimenting with Cannon enemies in Paradox Tower. If you walk in their sights, they shoot you! You can absorb damage with your magic shield but once its out, you get damaged normally.
