when you find an incredible looking game an you see a no-ai blurb at the end of the description... hell yeah Almost wish steam would make a specific badge for AI-free games now

No AI has been used to generate any code or content in or about the game, and never will be. Slow Roads has been a labour of love since the project began in 2021, and has been built with a decade of experience in 3D graphics and creative software development. Textures are hand-drawn, sounds are recorded locally, and all systems are designed and engineered specifically for the unique context of the game. This is a solo-developed project that I take great care over, and I believe AI simply doesn't belong in creative projects like these.

Please note that procedural generation is not a form of generative AI; the procedures used to generate the world in the game are mathematical functions that have been derived and defined by hand, with direct creative intent.

Level-5 really lost all the sauce with Layton games... it looks so dull in 3D, all the charm of the beautiful handpainted background is lost, and I really don't vibe with the america setting :( (and the management is all-in on generative AI)

All I know is what I see, and what I see is dozens upon dozens of executed publishing agreements w/ anti gen-ai clauses. It's not as accepted as the corps selling the ai tools want us to think.
