Just found out there are vitamin D3 supplements extracted from lichens. They naturally produce it when exposed to sunlight, very neat! :)

Enjoying animating more of my art in aseprite. Animation is usually pretty daunting to me, but it’s way less intimidating with pixel art than vector art. Plus it’s so fun seeing characters come to life so quickly :)

Been tinkering around with pixelart in asesprite. It’s nice to make characters in a clean and minimal program. I try to start small (16-24px), but end up going twice as big so I can have a little more details and come closer to my (curvy) style and shapes.

I pressed some ginkgo leaves I found during a walk a few weeks ago. They’re so pretty! 🍂

I love that I have so many of my own nature photo as refs and inspiration for art that I’m making. This way I can avoid all the fake ugly slop that’s invading the net. Good life hack 🌿

Since I enjoy making physical art lately, I decided to draw pixel characters on 5mm square graph paper. It’s very fun and puzzly, and it made me think of how the Super Mario Bros. sprites were first sketched :)
