I think refactoring gets a bad reputation. Making code to code things with less code is codey goodness. I find refactoring similar to writing poetry (poems I write, tho a bit shite) pour out some words, and hammer them into pleasing shapes, and make confusing metaphors with the leftovers

As someone who grew up in council houses in the UK in the 90s, Silent Hill Townfall is hitting hard. The detail is mind blowing. It's also weird when you remember that laundry baskets in the 90s were infinitely stronger than today's ones. And I spent too long staring at the old phone boxes 😂

I've been shouted at in public 5 times in my life about my disability, everything from "cripple" to "crippled c**t", which isn't great. I felt kinda of alone because of it. Then I read that it's not uncommon for disabled people to be harassed on the street. Then I felt less alone...

I've been playing Fire Emblem and making notes. While making the notes I discovered I couldn't ink water very well, so I couldn't glyph note the Seas or rivers in the game. So I had to do an art tutorial on inking and doodling so I could play the game again... Am I having fun correctly?

My daughters teacher (who is absolutely fantastic) just sent a weekly report about what the kids are learning. And she said "learned to count to 1" and I spent a scary amount of time wondering what the difference is between saying the word "one" and counting to 1 🤔😂
