Sherrod Brown's new response to an anti-trans ad is remarkably different from many other dems. Instead of accepting bigotry towards trans people, he pivots and links his Republican opponent to the Epstein files. It is notably different from his earlier ads. Subscribe to support our journalism.

This is not said to imply that you should vote for Republicans. It’s said to imply that you should pressure your Democratic reps (if you have them) to make the law better.

Term limits and an ethics code are as popular as ever, but Supreme Court expansion at 68 percent among Democrats and 56 percent *among independents*?? The first candidates to figure out that "I will vote to add at least four seats on day one" is a winning message are gonna absolutely clean up.

time once again for my annual post: evacuating from hurricanes costs money and resources that a lot of people don’t have and the local governments often don’t adequately provide. evacuating is logistically difficult, sometimes impossible, and is hard to justify when the results are unpredictable.

They shld fix the structural weaknesses that let presidents dismantle federal programs, withhold approved funds, politicize the civil service, weaken watchdogs, & expand exec. power w/few immediate consequences

Hyperlink text should make sense when read out of context. Screen reader users can navigate from link to link, and can listen to links in a list. When navigating this way, only the link is read. So "click here" or "read more" won't make sense.

Not that it matters, but: A basic green American Express card is a "charge card", with all charges due at the next payment date. No interest charged, no balance carried, no pre-set charge limit. If you don't pay on time? Big fees.
