there is a push towards minimizing friction, not needing to interrogate your own relationship or positioning to things. or to just take the position that won't get you yelled at. an alternative more dialectical mode of operating is harder, but it usually results in greater understanding and empathy.

Part of how abuse works is by socially isolating the target, spreading rumors, undermining her credibility. Forcing the target to see people who she trusted and turned to for support distance themselves & continue to interact with her abuser as if nothing happened instead. This is part of the abuse.

i do think it’s funny that your games stand to have a longer life span if you make them in “dead” technologies, rather than using modern tools. like DOS games, Flash, gameboy, snes… all have emulation and continue on indefinitely. the lates UE games likely won’t.
