Three panel comic. Panel 1: three friends sit around a table. The guy in the middle looks downtrodden and his friends are trying to comfort him. The friend to the left says, “look man— I know you’re sad about the breakup.” Panel 2: “So I invited the Bongo Dolphin.” Entering stage right is a dolphin standing upright, wearing a straw hat, sunglasses, a Cuba Vera patterned shirt, and is playing the bongos. Panel 3: the sad friend is coyly looking away trying to hide a smile. His two friends and the Bongo Dolphin are smiling with him. The friend on the left says, “I see a smile…”

At my mum’s in England helping out with care. Made a banging omelette the other day with cheese, tomato, spinach, a little garlic & chorizo - cooked in butter. Mum scoffed hers down at dinner. Was wondering how it would go if I switched to olive oil - remembering omelettes I had in Croatia… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Near the end of my Shanghai to Heathrow flight we were served a brioche pocket with just mayonnaise in it. Objectively a serviceable sandwich but I was, and still am, confused about it. (China Eastern Airways). A cultural decision? A common sandwich in China? An improvised last call?

In Silicon valley over break and have to say this place makes no sense. Its like one big suburb with blah strip miles and low slung commercial "historic" "downtowns." The great irony of tech companies complaining about Europe is they live in a place where you literally can't build anything.

As a huge fan of Defender as a kid, surprised to have only just discovered Blaster. Quite trippy looking game but it looks a wee bit repetitive and doesn't appear to have the variety within a level, opting instead to have multiple level types. The 'game map' screen is pretty wild though.

Captain Torture
A four frame comic about Captain Torture. The first frame shows the sign "BREAKING NEWS" and the drawing of a man, with the words "CAPTAIN TORTURES PASSES AWAY" near him. The second frame shows a journalist holding a mic, as she says "A controversial and divisive figure, Captain torture will be remembered for his key role in history." The News title is "Mourning day for Captain-". The third frame shows three posts on social media. The first one is by a man called Paul James @Paulitician. He writes: "I didn't always agree with Captain Torture but he sure was a man who believed in something." The second post by James Paul @Avegetable reads: "I pay my respects to Captain Torture and his family. His heart was in the right place- with our country." The third post is by SonicVomit @SonicBleh , and reads "HE TORTURED PEOPLE". The fourth frame shows an interview on TV. An angry man on the right is saying: "Let me tell you something, Jen. I think it's SICK to celebrate Captain Torture's death. These people should be LOCKED UP, and also tortured-". The news below says: "Every president on earth pays homage-".

Head of UK government’s anti-Islamophobia partner ‘refused service in shop for being Muslim’
Akeela Ahmed, of British Muslim Trust, says experience is part of a wider rise in anti-Muslim hatred The chief executive of the government’s new official partner in tackling Islamophobia has spoken about being refused service in a shop for being Muslim, amid concerns about a rise in insidious anti-Muslim “microaggressions”. The British Muslim Trust (BMT) is launching a government-backed telephone and online reporting service for hate crimes. In July, the trust was selected as a recipient of the government’s “combating hate against Muslims fund”, and in the months since its chief executive, Akeela Ahmed, has been meeting members of Muslim communities, including in Bradford in West Yorkshire, East Sussex, Greater London and Greater Manchester. Now that the next chapter could be that a ground force is sent to Iran to run around deserts, caves (and now additional new environments such as coastal deserts, mangroves and forests) to find the 'weapons' - perhaps the 'brave warriors of ICE' could be sent along to do it?
