We have been fighting for a safer Queensboro Bridge for far too long. But the day will finally arrive this weekend: separated, protected bike and pedestrian paths on this vital crossing. I am so grateful to all the advocates and elected officials who refused to give up.

In the letter, obtained by Gothamist, Gov. Hochul and state leaders say the MTA deserves additional money because it carries 43% of the nation’s mass transit riders while getting a 17% share of funding through the federal transit formula — which they called a “fundamental misalignment.”

It’s not just NY. Looking directly at you, Hoboken, NJ. I felt my stomach turn every time I received a campaign mailer from the “progressive” Mayor who ran on his track record of sanctuary city policies while passing some of the most terrifying anti-immigration legislation seen in the state.
