My son works at the local museum in Wigan & was going through some of the comment/feedback cards after a colleague had done a school workshop with 6y olds. One of the questions was what do you like about living in Wigan? Usual replies…rugby team, parks, friends etc. But one read “There is no war” 😔

To be fair, the Pentagon was aware. This was posted hours before the attack was called in. What is strange is that so little action was taken given the security level. Fairford hasn't even restricted its air zone, so the BBC News helicopters showed the positions of their planes. It's a shambles.

It's great to see tailoring accommodate such extreme movement today. This level of tailoring was a bit more common in the past, as you can see in old films featuring Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly, but many modern suits will lift off the wearer's neck even when they're just walking.

I think once black clad men are interfering with rescues at sea, we are past "legitimate concerns". Once they're attacking boats, and risking the lives of everyone on board, it's just thuggery. The Home Secretary's statement is on the side of criminals. There's no other way to read it.
