First Man. 2018. Rewatch. Man I do like this film. Some of the best realised flight/space sequences ever. I also love Howard's Apollo 13 but this is less Hollywood, more naturalistic and all the better for it. Chazelle is a fine, versatile director. #jimsfilmreviews

Mandalorian and Grogu. TV. The TV series was hit and miss, with Grogu being the best bits. It made the Mandalorians seem like cultish idiots, and had too much fan service, so if it ain't fixed...felt like a TV special, not a movie. #jimsfilmreviews

What I love about that six word Hemingway story, "For sale: baby shoes, never worn" is that in those few words we instantly grasp the sadness of what it is trying to tell us: the baby was so freakishly massive when it was born that it could never wear the shoes its parents had bought for it.

The Odyssey (2026) IMAX Some thoughts. Good but not great. I don't think being on IMAX added anything to it, not like Interstellar which blew me away on IMAX. Suffered like Tenet did with a disconnect from the main character, needed more character building between Odysseus and his men. #theodyssey
