I've been able to grow closer to my mother than I've ever been as an adult thanks to this job. I've made friends whose lives and success I care deeply about now, and I've been able to help teach and mold some amazing kids into worthwhile productive adults.

It feels weird to be so proud of a job. I'm not motivated by money or ylthe whims of capitalism. My ideal salary is "enough" but this wasn't just a job to me. My mom was a day 1 employee, and the owner has went above and beyond to take care of her when she was dealing with health issues years back.

The money was decent (good for Myrtle Beach), the food was great (especially my mustard based sauce, a South Carolina classic), and the work was usually pretty fun because I was lucky enough to be the one who set the standard.

Since July of 2021, I've been lucky enough to be employed at Sweet Carolina's, a BBQ restaurant at Broadway at the Beach. After a couple years as a server, I've been the general manager since the beginning of 2024. In that time, my life has become enriched in immeasurable ways.

PAC was British wrestling; before Will and Zack, before the BritWres boom, PAC was one of our greatest exports along with Nigel and Doug, but those guys were 10+ years his senior and PAC was just a kid - an absurdly remarkable talent from day 1 who rapidly outgrew his homeland's scene.
