Any use? Preditory pricing? Preditory lending? Revenge porn using id photos? All in the hopes that A.I. companies MAY proffit. I literally can't think of a reason to do this that woukd possibly benifit us. Why weaken the rights of all european citizens unless european officals have been bribed?

Just wait for it... The Irish government is using its Presidency of the European Council to push for Big Tech's profits to take precedence over the right to data protection. The use of personal data “in the context of AI” would automatically be lawful in their proposal. Everyone should know this.

Tonight I was proud to share a stage with The Portadown District, Jamie Bryson and Carla Lockhart who have done a phenomenal job for the Portadown Orangemen. Credit where it's due, I have not been involved with the legal challenge and fight these guys have mounted but I'm proud to support in anyway I can.

The degree to which we have never seen the Enterprise D on screen still BAFFLES ME. The main shuttle bay of 1701-D is the scale shows should be aiming for. This is a City State with a regional airport. The show never had the budget to do more than imply scale. youtu.be/mCGRg2bGS70?...

Underground and fetish artist Eric Stanton was born 100 years ago, on September 30, 1926. He was also a studio mate with Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko. Ditko sometimes helped (uncredited) on Stanton's comics, and I include some of what I believe is that work here.

I really wanted to turn around and ask anyone under 30 if they knew the experience of hitting unbreakable wood with a crowbar in half life 2, or failing to shoot a lock off in a video game. The cinematic language seemed to be making a point that locks are magical and this is all a simulation.

28 Weeks is a great example of what feels like a sensible sequel but misses the whole point of the tone of a film as spilling out of the plot. A person making sense of a world thats hostile now.

Fascinating how commited the director was to it to being just one good film. Not even a hint or a tease or a feignt to a larger universe. LIGHT SPOILERS FOLLOW.... Loved it. But it took me a moment to get over how grim it was at the end. The games tend to end more hopefull.
