At its core, it's not about a lack of imagination or resourcefulness; it's about the mental toll it takes after a long day. Even after having a cook who visits twice a day, the decision rests with us. If we give up and ask the cook to make whatever, chances are she will make a subpar dish that disappoints us, forcing us to order junk from outside
