모욕감과 수치심은 사람을 극단적으로 몰아간다. 수치심을 극복하기 위해 나르시시즘이란 방어기제가 작동된다. 식민지민의 정체성은 [...] 흔들린다. [...] 식민지민의 삶은 아무리 발버둥을 쳐도 나아지지 않는다. 남은 유일한 길은 스스로를 식민지민으로 생각하지 않는 것이다. 식민지민이 아닌 채 살아가는 것이 열패감에 시달리는 식민지 지식인들의 출구가 된다. 결국 일단의 무리는 정신적 친일파가 된다. 우리의 비참함도 '결국 우리가 못난 탓'이라 생각하는 분열적 정체성을 파농은 식민지형 지식인의 전형으로 보았다. 김창훈 #친일파
