iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

this year in melee has been enlightening for me, and i am thankful to my past self for pushing as hard as i did ty to folks for the support i am not making any commitments or explicit goals yet but i plan on pushing the boulder closer to the peak and hope to help others in the process 🙏

it makes sense i think, i just thought i outran burn out / gave myself enough recovery time but i feel like it caught up to me at once that being said, i am simultaneously extremely motivated, so when i return to melee as a focus in 2027 i am incredibly excited to learn so much more, big plans

i have been giving a lot of energy to melee still via lessons, PR panel organizing, stats collection, and TOing it feels strange to be burnt out, and i am still processing it i want to sit with the feeling more; i aim to re-engage with melee in the coming weeks, and enter PGH events for 2026

had a nice chat with book club friends about how i'm feeling burnt out with melee i attended a fair amount of events this year, but the bigger thing was simply how much time i spent Thinking about the game i have barely played since Homecooked, which is a good thing I think

i now get more than 2 weekends in a row without traveling or a tournament for the first time this year thank God 🙏

I had dream 2 nights ago where me and all of PBI were all in a car driving in rural China and I said "man China is pretty cool but I wish we could get some Sheetz rn" and we turned a corner past a hill and there was a Sheetz and it was the first Sheetz ever in China, it had an arcade in it too

i offer free lessons and coaching to local players but they have to refer me to as their "eunuch advisor"

"Everything was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt" by Ben Reeves for my IRL book club, I'm going in pretty blind haha

striving to always find my way back to "measuring myself with myself"

i plan on doing a year in review write up for this tryhard year in melee competition makes you feel a lot of emotions, and it is difficult to parse them

in 2027 i plan on attending genesis, at least 1 melee event in Europe (hopefully 2), and likely an Aus trip i'll probs reduce the number of other events in atttend in general to allow for the larger adventures
