And also, the DHS CIO role has been continuously held by a DOGE person with Kyle Schutt being the latest person, who rejoined the govt to keep their grip on the CIO. A CIO has tremendous latitude to bypass IT laws by signing Risk Acceptance Memos and non-DOGE might cancel this because of law

yeah i've been sorta struck by this too. sometimes it's hard to avoid the sense that some people like connectionist models of cognition more than classical models because it sorta looks more 'brain-y'. but ANNs are literally quite different from brains
