Okay, this is bullshit in the GAO report. CFPB claimed that Gavin Kliger (B) and Luke Farritor (E) never or just did test login for Active Directory, but Farritor used AD to give Gavin Kliger access to delete the CFPB homepage
A table from the GAO report sating that several systems at CFPB were either never logged into by DOGE or just once to confirm access or receive a tutorial. And ActiveDirectory is on this list.

I remain fascinated by DOGE's lingering hold on the CIO position (or TTS Commissioner at GSA) at several agencies (I also am uncertain if Eric Sidle counts or not). Source here: dogetrack.info/people/agenc... Theories: SSA+Treasury+DHS = data sharing for the big surveillance project by ICE

I appreciate the alt.coffee reference in The Survivalists, but technically it was a holdover from the late 90s
A Lower East Side art gallery hired him to make half his bartending cash to sit silently behind a desk, because his six-four, dark-skinned self

DOGE members were private citizens, fearful of being personally targeted and unfamiliar with the media apparatus that is part of Washington culture, he says. But, fundamentally, the DOGE crew wanted to stay completely focused on the mission itself, he writes. The team was well aware that they needed to move with speed, as they might soon be slowed down by lawsuits, Congress or other bureaucratic forces.

Definitely make sure you have some sort of safety plugin with deterministic gates / pattern matching to block things (it needs to be more than just "please don't delete my hard drive" as a prompt). In general, this tweet remains the best advice for working with LLMs to

Heraldry designer (sobbing): can we stop adding more elements to this shield? It’s too much Lord Montgomerie: more!! MORE!
A new ludicrous swap for the present lord of the Montgomerie clan. It has a shield divided into four quadrants, which are also divided into four quadrants. There are flier de los and rings and also red crescents on a yellow background and gold keys on a blue background. Also, some little shields on top of some of the quadrants. The whole thing is being held by two green dragons and there is a crown on top with two knight helms on it and a little lady on one and a little dragon on the other. It’s a bit much.

Are you going to the Maryland Renaissance Festival and want to make a costume? May I suggest the Knight of Montgomery County?
The seal of Montgomery County, MD. It features a knight helm with castles as a crest. From that are multiple blue and yellow ribbons. Below the helm is a shield that features two diagonal squares of a yellow fleur-de-lis and red squares in the other diagonal with a gold ring on them. The border between the squared is castellated like a rook. Below that is the motto “Gardez Bien” it’s all a lot, especially if you pair it with the Maryland flag

Another example of poor logistical planning. They could have been worked out a process to phase in domestic suppliers with a pending ban, but this administration is filled with people who think bans or tariffs will just cause industry to spring up overnight
A ban on Chinese robots leaves U.S. startups stranded

The U.S. is moving to sharply limit foreign-made robots, requiring new models sold in the country to be assembled domestically and contain at least 65% U.S.-made components. The policy is aimed at reducing reliance on foreign robotics supply chains, particularly China's.

But for some American robotics startups, the rules are coming before a domestic supply chain exists. Founders say key components are too expensive, too slow to procure, or unavailable in the U.S., while others hope the ban will ultimately help American robot makers compete with cheaper Chinese products.

Sorry, you can find some Mediterranean figs and then there’s a chance but no guarantee! This is really complicated!
When a female wasp crawls into a fig syconium from a female tree — the type of figs we eat — she only pollinates it, because the flowers inside are too long for her to lay her eggs on. But if she ventures into a synconium from a male tree - which are called caprifigs and generally not eaten by humans - she'll start to lay. her eggs.

There, the eggs hatch and develop from larvae into young wasps, which mate while still inside the fruit. Generally, the male wasps die inside the caprifig after mating, though they do help chew a tunnel that allows the female wasps to escape, sometimes even offering themselves as bait for the predatory ants that may be waiting outside. Eventually, the fertilized female wasps burst out in search of a new fig to lay their eggs in, carrying pollen from the old caprifig with them.
