I don't know about anyone else, but I'd be quite keen for a lot of that future to be spend in a small, secure room with a fully integrated toilet and an overly friendly roommate.

Been getting a lot of 9/11 content in various feeds recently, with the usual conspiracy theorists in the comments. This might be the engineer in me talking, but the actual mechanics of how the towers (and tower 7) collapsed is way more interesting than any of the theories. You're missing out guys.

So Nigel Farage and his lackeys get caught red handed doing dodgy dealings, and the BBC are using it as a clickbait headline to the Reform party conference - an event that would have zero reason to be front page news otherwise. Cool cool cool cool cool.

I really cannot think of a greater honor than to have the Muppets say this about you upon your passing
Instagram post from the official Muppets account: Few humans have earned the title of honorary Muppet more than the legendary Tim Curry. As a performer he was unparalleled - witty, charming, unnerving, and deeply funny. We will always consider it one of our greatest treasures to have been part of Long John Silver’s crew. Thank you for everything, Tim.

It is preposterous that a 45 minute second half with 4 substitute slots and a drinks break got less stoppage time than the second 15 minute half of extra time.

If any journo justified their suggestion that Jude Bellingham either shouldn't start in or shouldn't go to this World Cup by criticising his arrogance/petulance/ego/self-interest etc. they should be sacked, because they're either A) Shit at their job, or B) Probably racist. Future England captain.

It has been criminally underreported but Kelsey Pfendler has just rowed solo across the Pacific Ocean from the US coast to Hawaii in record time. A 2,400-mile unsupported journey in 43 days, 17 hours, and 55 minutes. Notably beating the Men’s record by 9 whole days.

A montage of front pages of newspapers and magazines from the UK, Spain, France, Japan, Italy, Germany and the US, all of them criticising Fifa president Gianni Infantino for his "capitulation" to Donald Trump in the Balogun affair.

Thing about a Binface vs. Farage Clacton by-election is, while obviously Binface winning would be the single most hilarious moment in British politics, Farage got less than half the votes, on a below average turnout, to win the seat in 2024, meaning *he has to take the threat of Binface seriously* 😂

Of course Gianni is going for the "Our totally independent disciplinary body totally independently decided the first time a World Cup red card suspension would ever be reversed would be the one the President of the host nation I've been sucking up to for the past year personally asked for" defence.

Donald Trump: Folarin Balogun suspension would have left 'big stain' on World Cup
United States President Donald Trump says Fifa "made the right decision" to suspend Folarin Balogun's one-match ban, adding that otherwise, it would have left a "big stain" on the World Cup.

FIFA's own rules dictate that if a government tries to intervene in a disciplinary matter - that team is disqualified. Not happening to the USA though, despite trump making that phone call. Wonder why. 🤔 Fuck Trump. Fuck Infantino.

For whom it may concern - please stop saying "Balogun shouldn't have been sent off, so suspending his ban is ok." Sport only works when rules are fair and equally applied. Argue for a fairer appeal process, argue for VAR to be less shit. Don't argue FIFA should be able to pick and choose. Please.

Jack Senior @jacksenior42.bsky.social · 05/07/2026
Even if you don't think it was a red, FIFA suspending Balogun's ban is deeply worrying for the state of the game. In article 27, FIFA have a clause where they get to pick and choose how discipline is applied based on reputation, politics or profit - and they are quite prepared to use it for such.
