Yeah, this. I don't get involved in womens' groups at work any more because of the sheer, staggering amounts that men at work DGAF or even register their existence. They don't have to do groups like that, they get to focus on squeezing maximum value out of their working and extracurricular hours.

This has been a pet peeve of mine forever: unless the multiplayer is p2p, it's run on a server somewhere, and servers aren't free to operate. OTOH, I think being able to run a private server should be a human right after official servers are no longer supported.

This also evokes for me the concept of transferrable skill. I actually super hate being recommended games by folks with 10k hours in a genre. Like I get you played 1k hours of Dark Souls in college bc you had nothing better to do, but for me it's not worth the upfront mastery investment.

I actually really liked that 2XKO explains terms *in the game itself* in a natural and easy to understand way. I, a complete fighting game noob, was able to use the little frame gauge tool in training to troubleshoot a combo I was struggling with. It's nice not having to rely solely on metatext!

Yeah, ours is not intended to be a money spinner, we just wanted to run a Larp and I had some ideas for the Game Design! But were running very close to the wire costs wise with our current 35ish players, but getting more has been a challenge.

I agree with all this AND I think an underdiscussed aspect of the current shitty situation is that the means of production are increasingly out of reach of the working class. You can't start a small business and be competitive without an enormous amount of capital.
