The split between player/GM and GM'd/GMless hurts our understanding of player roles in ttrpgs, and our design. They are false binaries that we sort games into based on what "feels right," without actually being very useful terms for understanding dynamics in play beyond a base level.

A computer can never be horny, therefore a computer cannot make art.

We did try automating it with physics simulation first, but it was a total failure. The cloth moved in a physically correct way, but had absolutely no allure. We learned a profound lesson: accuracy and sensuality are two unrelated properties. In the end, we accepted that humans would have to do all of it.

It really helps you as a designer to just do the math out. 5% chance to occur is one in twenty. For a group of four players - if each makes five or more rolls there is a high likelyhood someone will experience a 5% fumble.

Enjoying Mortal Shell II, not sure if I love it. While it's got solid fundamentals it flops in two key areas that make soulslikes really enjoyable. 1) it significantly handicaps you at the start with limited weapon options 2) every enemy is always gonna fuck you up so you never care about losing XP
