I really love phonetic dialect language writing, e.g. Irvine Welsh, especially African English(es) and dialogue, and sure it can take some getting used to but the immersion factor is immense. There is no one English, never will be.

296 pp. August 28, 2026, Fly on the Wall Press. Fiction/Zimbabwe. Two sisters share a terrible secret. At first it binds them together, but eventually it tears them apart. Zaynah and Amira spend their days at their grandmother’s house, their refuge from a tumultuous home life. Ma is loving and present, two things their parents are not. But one night during Ramadan—and on subsequent nights after—their childhood innocence is shattered into a million tiny pieces, and a long shadow is cast over their lives that lasts well into their adulthood.

The average cup of black coffee releases 250 grams of C02 (from farm to cup) we drink 820 billion cups per year, so that's 205 million tonnes of C02 annually, just for black coffee (if you start adding milk it spikes to 880 grams). Fossil fuels release 38.11 billion tonnes annually.
