After 15 mins , despite spotting something I quite like, I leave the shop having purchased nothing because I FUCKING HATE BEING HARANGUED BY SHOP ASSISTANTS. Dealing with people? Learn body language & more importantly verbal clues such as “I don’t need any help thanks” Could I have been clearer?

I’ve never enjoyed clothes shopping but today found myself in the city so thought I’d have a brief look around. Overly friendly shop assistant “hi how are you? What are you looking for today?” Me “I’m just browsing thanks, I don’t need any help” That should have been enough. But, no! Clearly not.

The staff at your local medical Centre have no control over the fees you are charged, There is no point in arguing with the receptionist, nurse, or doctor, about this. Your fees are subsidised, but not fully. Feel free to write to the manager or the owners- but please leave the rest of us alone.

I do get hyphenated surnames, (both parents’ names) I’m not a fan of hyphenated first names tbh- inevitably the child ends up being called just one of those names, usually the first. Just met a kid who’s got two names hyphenated, followed by two names hyphenated, followed by hyphenated surname😩

One of the doors literally blew off my garden shed in the weekend’s high winds. The rain can get in not just through the cracks in the roof but through one of the doors as well. When I was a teenager, I would literally spend hours on the phone talking to my friends. On the one landline phone in the house. But for the last 20 years or so, I’ve hated talking on the phone. I would literally never ring anybody for a chat (I do video call my brother, but that’s different)

I am as far away from our waiting room as physically possible in this building, & have my door closed. I can hear every word that a patient is saying on their phone. Why do people think this is appropriate behaviour? Literally NOBODY wants to listen to your personal conversation, mate!

I feel ashamed of myself that I didn’t say that to her, because, I should add, that this is the daughter who had serious eating/food issues throughout her teenage years and has overcome them and appears to be living a healthy, balanced life now (while her retired-early mother goes to the gym daily)😑
