Currently playing SILENT HILL 3 and enjoying the combat. Definitely an huge improvement since SILENT HILL 2, I just think that the puzzles are so next to each other. Apart from that, I feel more tense from SH3 then SH2, there's a lot of enemies and a good variety too.

finally cutting through my bicc camera photos from my trip to Japan last week, didn't get to bring it out as much as i wanted to since it was a bit more cumbersome than i would have liked but here's some sights from the trip

a night market lit by orange and yellow lanterns near Shibuya
rows of small restaurants with heat lamps and tables and well-lit signage line a sidewalk between greenery and the storefronts

gray skies give way to power lines, red street signs, and yellow/white buildings peeking into a side street in Shibuya early in the morning.
leaves are turning on the trees and the city is still asleep

traditional japanese architecture leans out over a steaming river in Ginzan, Yamagata. a series of bridges join the walkways on either side together. the buildings are well lit, inns and onsens wrap around the winding river at night. other visitors stand on bridges taking photos of the scene

bright yellows, reds, and blues color the tall buildings packing the streets of Akihabara. cars fill a street, an old green rail bridge crosses over the busy roads and people pack the sidewalks on the way to arcades and shops. the sky is blue and the colors are vibrant

I believe that game companies should adopt different strategies regarding development of games. The fact that they ask for feedback in the end of the development cycle makes player feedback almost useless, since they won't change much of what's already implemented on it.
