I started a new playthrough for 2.0 & DLC, so haven’t gotten to the “second stage” yet, as I wanted to grab some stuff & gear up a bit… So (of course) now I have all the weird artifacts, mastered the arena and set up the base near Duga. I should probably take this PDA to Diode now…

UPS woke me up at 6am-ish singing the song of its people. Back 2 hours later. Off again about 3 hours later. Between outages I got a Ali delivery including some USB - 20v and 12v cables. As there’s no Fortnite to interrupt, decided to swap 12v networking gear from wall-warts to USB. Seems to work.

Today is the 81st anniversary of the birth of #RadioAstronomy in Australia! 📡 It grew out of radar tech built here in Sydney during WWII. As the war ended, military activity shifted to research, investigating the strange 'noise' and 'interference' coming from the Sun. 📸 J. Messer/NSW G.R.

a time/count graph of the irc counting game, there are seven lines that trend upwards, surprisingly at a consistent rate

Aaron Swartz is no longer here to tell us what he saw like twenty years ago. futurism.com/artificial-i...

Swartz had been batchmates with Altman in the inaugural class of 2005 at the Silicon Valley incubator Y Combinator, and warned his friends about Altman shortly before his passing.

“You need to understand that Sam can never be trusted,” he told one confidante. “He is a sociopath. He would do anything.”

btw i think the reason i like magical sigils and worlds based around them is because magical sigils are actually real. you open up a satellite LNB and what you find is shapes wrought from metal to manipulate unseen forces. you can't tell me they're not magical sigils

picture of the inside of a satellite low-noise block downconverter (LNB), the circuit in the focal point of a satellite TV dish. this one's a rectangular metal case with inside of it a printed circuit board full of gold-plated traces. many have strange shapes you wouldn't find in other electronics. scientifically you might call them microstrip filters, but really they're nothing more than a well-understood magical rune

All those hardware engineers with old Tek DSO’s at their desks.. they are running Win2K or something. Sure, they never get plugged into the network, but if they are copying traces off via USB… that’s where your persistent Conficker problem has been hiding…
