It's all just a bastard: OCD is a bastard Treatment for OCD is a bastard When I said this is therapy the therapist jokingly added "therapist's a bastard" I disagreed. But having just tried the ERP he suggested I'm more inclined to concur😬

Done very little over the last little while, I am in a period of entirely low energy, but I did turn a mediocre bowl into this delightful thing through sheer time and effort. The shapes are stamped (with stamps I made!), filled with wet slip (2-3 times), then scraped back very carefully.

Social media discourse is driven by false #polarization We find that: 1) ideologues post opinions more than moderates 2) extreme attitudes are posted more than moderate one 3) This replicates in 40 countries 4) Opinions that users post are more hostile than the beliefs they keep to themselves

I know my mum has her own difficulties, but sometimes I think she can be quite mean. Just v gently enquired whether she might be ready to get some help around the house: Response: 1. Oh, thank you, yes please (I already do as much as I can) 2. And who is going to pay for this, you or me? 😮

Somehow, I have found myself in a caring situation, where I have to go behind the back of the person I'm trying to help. If they knew they'd be v angry. According to my GP, I am "pathologically unable to lie", & dear God, the deception is killing me.

The UK is losing its wildlife, and shows like Winterwatch are vital for connecting us to nature. The BBC's decision to cancel it makes no sense. Let's ask them to rethink this! Add your name here:

Was about to do chores with noise cancelling headphones on. Explained to mum: it's not easy for me to take them off in middle of chore, did she need to say anything to me before I went "in"? Within 15 minutes, she's interrupted twice. The 2nd time, I said "what" irritably as I took them off. >

☀️ Hot? Thirsty? Reaching for a cold drink? Wildlife are feeling the heat too, but they can't turn on a tap. Birds, hedgehogs, squirrels, and pollinators need water to survive. 💧 Please put out a shallow dish of fresh water today. It could save a life. #Wildlife #Nature

A group of calm and peaceful animals huddle together as friends beneath an ancient and magical tree. Night has fallen, and a full moon is out over the forest in the distance
shining magically…and together a fox, hare, badger, and owl, and surrounding fungi and plants, all gaze up at the moon, as twinkling stars and enchanted glowing lights surround them.
